Babies the movie

I just watched amazing documentary called Babies. It is a movie that's shows the early development of babies. There was no talking in it and I found the interesting because by just watching each baby grow up you could learn a lot. It didn't just show one exciting bubbly baby, the movies showed four from different parts of the world. It was extraordinary to see how differently each baby lived compared to the other.
The first babies were twins from Africa and they lived such simple lives. Their rough brown skin was bare 24/7 and they were left without adults watching them often. As I watched these kids play next to each other, I could see they each had such personalities. When one baby reached for an empty bottle, the other tried grabbing it also and that caused a fight with biting, screaming and hitting.
The next baby was Asian and he lived a simple, but nice life. there house was in the middle of nowhere with animals grazing just feet away. He was also left alone a lot to rest in peace. The only slight problem was that he had a three year-old brother that needled him again and again. Their mom only came in to stop the bellowing.
The next to babies were Chinese and American and they mostly spoiled. They were constantly played with and obsessed over. They weren't left alone very much. If you want to have a spoiled kid, then pick them up if your hear the slightest sound of sadness. If you want to have a good independent kid, give them some solitude and when they start crying, let them sob out their woes.
I think this movie was a great way of seeing how differently kids live all over the world. If you are interested in babies like i am I highly recommend this movie. babies are so interesting.

Otherwise Known as, Sheila the Great

I just finished reading a book called Otherwise Known as, Sheila the Great. It is a story about a family that  moves to a town for the summer. 10 year old Sheila isn't very excited. From a headless horseman, to swimming lessons and even a dog in her backyard, Sheila decides to be miserable. When she makes new friends, discovers swimming isn't so bad and that dogs won't hurt you, Sheila ends up enjoying herself. The only problem about Sheila is that she has a bad attitude towards most people including her parents, sister, friends an sometimes ever her swim coach. I think the book would be better if her parents stood their ground and told her how her attitude was unacceptable. In the end of the book, she wouldn't be as rude towards people. I enjoyed this book and I recommend you read it to.

Heaven is for Real

I just finished a book called Heaven is for Real! It's a book about a four year old boy named Colton that gets very ill. The people at the hospital didn't think he would make it. Sandra and Todd Burpo, Colton's parents prayed while seeing their little boy suffer. Their Church got together and prayed for Colton to heal and, after a couple days of extreme sickness, he miraculously got better. As they were heading home, Colton started talking about being with Jesus. His parents didn't understand because Colton hadn't died. Months pass and Colton starts getting into detail about Heaven and the things in it. The facts he says about Jesus and Heaven are all true (referenced in the Bible). They realize later that Colton went to Heaven for three minutes and then came back. This book was amazing and it really made me believe more in Heaven. It's extraordinary how things Colton said match up with the Bible! Wow, Heaven must really be for real!

Sam Hill

On the starry night of December 24, 2005, Sam Hill came into our life. I was five years old and we were about to go to bed when mom, stepped in the door with a white, curly poodle. Now, our neighbors had a poodle named Phoebe and Mary and I thought it was her. Eventually though, we relized it was a new puppy. Mary and I got very excited and as a little girl would do, I said to mom, "Can we stay up and play with him?".  Mom said no because we had to go to bed soon, so we did. Turns out, this puppy used to live with a family that really didn't like him. She had five other dogs and didn't treat him very well. She named  hime Peaches and we think she left him outside sometimes. Sam is a nervous dog, but he has brought alot of happiness and smiled into 530 Turtle Creek Dr.. When I say smiles, I mean it literally. He smiles with his teeth, curling up his lips into a joyful grin. My dad loves him so much that he named his company after him, Sam Hill Entertainment. As today marks his sixth birthday, are whole family knows Sam is a blessing. What in the name of Sam Hill!

Sally Sue Feldman

It's May 16, 2008 and it's my 8th birthday. Unfortunatley, on my birthday I just had to get strep throat. As I walked down the steps and into the living room, my mom told everyone to get into the car for a birthday surprise. When it comes to me and surprises, I just want to know what they are and I'll go around asking for a hints. So, we piled into the old subaro and drove away. Our destination was a parking lot. In that parking lot was a tall man in a suit. We got out of the car, and the man opened his car door. Out ran a American Cocker Spaniel Purebread! As soon as I saw the puppy a grin formed onto my face with excitement. The pup would be a gift for my birthday. She got into the car and, soon I fell in love. When we got home I immediatly wanted to walk her. Of course my mom asked, "What are you going to name her?" and I quickly answered "Sally Sue!".  Sally is a darling bundle of energy and fun and I love her. She has added some awesome features in our family and Sam, has gotten a best friend. I love Sally Sue!

Girl Scout Camp

This year I went to Girl Scout Camp for a week. From learning First-Aid, teaching First-Aid, carving a fish out of soap, to cooking it was all extremely fun. My sister Mary, was a counselor and each counselor has to make up a fun, fake name. No one knows their real name until the end of the week. My sisters name was jitterbug. I had trouble having to call her by a weird name when I have been calling her Mary for eleven years.  On Thursday, we had a dance party. It was tiring, but I had a blast. I also made a new friend named Mary and no, she isn't my sister. She was really kind, funny and energetic like me! I really enjoyed Girl Scout Camp this year.

African Children's Choir

Pamela
Vicki

On Monday, May 9th, our family got to go to our Church to see the African Children's Choir preform. The kids were from ages 8-11. All of them were saved from poverty and all of them are orphans. The African Children's choir gives them an education, food and other things they will need. When I saw them preform, I noticed that even though they were orphans that were saved from poverty, they were bouncing with joy. They danced like nobodies business. They were so awesome. When I saw them, it made me grin with happiness. After the concert, a few family's, including ours, took home to kids. Ours were named Pamela and Vicki and they were eight years old. They were so grateful and they didn't mind what kind of car we had, or how our house looked. They ate without complaining and they didn't argue when their chaperone's asked them to do something. They call their chaperone's "Auntie", or "Uncle". They even called my mom and dad by those names. Having in my house made me want to be more grateful with the food I had even though I didn't like it because it is food for your body and its OK if you don't like it. I have gotten a heart for Africa and when I grow up, I want to help Uganda, were Pamela and Vicki are from. I really enjoyed having them at my house and hopefully, I can help in Uganda later in my life.
